Choosing a sex doll for companionship
“Companionship” turns up in the copy on 249 of our live listings, which tells you what the word is doing in this market but nothing at all about which doll to buy. This page sticks to the specifications — the features that change how a doll sits, poses and feels, what each one is called on the listing, and what it adds to the price.

The four specs that change the most
Each of these is a tag or a line you can find on the listing itself. Quotations are from our own product copy.
The skeleton
Posable, standing, shrugging
Our copy describes “a metal skeleton that is fully posable”. Beyond that, two separate tags matter: standing, and shrugging shoulders. 673 of the 1,013 dolls in stock carry both.

Shrugging shoulders let the arms come forward and across the body rather than only out to the sides, which is the difference between a doll that can be arranged naturally and one that cannot.

Most doll hands are a single wire armature. Articulated hands have jointed fingers. Our Fire Doll copy describes them as “hands that move and caress with astonishing realism”. They are a small part of the range; the ones we have collected together are all Fire Doll.

TPE is soft and by far the biggest part of the range. Most hybrids pair a silicone head with a TPE body, though a few are built the other way round, so check the listing. Full silicone is the most hard-wearing and the most expensive. We have a page on each.

- The head arrives packed separately inside the box.
Not in the box
- The outfit in the photographs. The FAQ is blunt: “the doll doesn't come with the same clothes as on the photo. The doll comes with standard lingerie.”
- Extra heads, extra eyes or extra wigs — all sold separately.
- Eyes are brown by default on many listings unless stated otherwise.
