Repair

Minor tears, cuts and scratches in TPE can be repaired with TPE glue. It works by dissolving the edges of the material. Because it dissolves the material, use only as much as the tear needs, and coat both edges evenly.

Position your doll so the tear stays closed while it sets, and leave it for a few hours, ideally overnight.

TPE cream is used to lift marks, including dye transferred from clothing. Leave a thin layer on for a few hours or overnight, and repeat two or three times if the mark is still there. The TPE doll care guide covers stains step by step.

You can use a nail set from any shop. Put a thin layer of TPE-safe glue or nail glue in the indented nail area, enough to cover it without spilling over. Then press the nail on and hold it for five seconds, without touching the glue.

You can change the nails whenever you want a different colour or style.

Don't leave the joints bent in one position for long periods. TPE can tear if it's overstretched, and it can crease or dent under long pressure, so avoid leaving weight on one spot, such as a hand trapped under the body.

Bend the fingers gently and never pull them. If the M16 screw that holds the head is lost or damaged, replacement neck screws are sold separately.
