Which dildo should I buy?

Three things decide it: the material, the size and what the base does. Get those right and the rest is taste. There are 169 dildos live and in stock on Lucidtoys today, so this page narrows them down instead of listing them all.

Step one: the material

Material decides how firm it feels, how you clean it and which lube you can use with it. Counts below are the material tags on the dildos that are live and in stock right now.

On lube, we say the same thing on every material. Our TPE product copy reads: “Hypoallergenic, this TPE toy must be used with plenty of water based lube and cleaned after each use.” For silicone, our sex toy materials guide says: “Silicone lubricant can affect the texture of silicone toys, so we recommend that you use only water-based lubes with your silicone toys.” If you only ever buy one bottle, make it water-based.

Step two: the size

Length is tagged on most of the range and runs from 11 cm to 44.5 cm. The sizes we stock most of sit in the middle: 20.5 cm, 22 cm, 25 cm, 17 cm and 20 cm. Girth is not tagged consistently, so read it off the product page — most listings print a total length and a diameter in the specs.

First one

Let the spec line pick for you

Many Neojoy listings print a “User” line in the specs. On one 18 cm realistic dildo it reads “User: Beginner”; on the 21 cm version of the same shape it reads “User: Intermediate”. That line is the quickest steer we publish.

Check the diameter, not just the length

Two dildos of the same length can be very different to use. The product specs print a diameter — that is the number that decides comfort.

Work up in steps

Our range runs well past 30 cm, but nothing in it is a jump you should make in one go. Use plenty of water-based lube and take your time.

Step three: what the base does

The base is the part people forget, and it changes how you can use the toy more than anything else on this page.
